Where Creativity Meets the Forest

Discover the creative world of McKenzie & King Studio, a peaceful artistic haven nestled in the heart of the Wombat Forest. The studio is home to acclaimed landscape painter Julie McKenzie, whose vibrant works capture the beauty, atmosphere and ever-changing moods of the surrounding bushland.

Julie has spent more than 50 years living a life of creativity, painting, building artistic communities and sharing her passion for the arts. She has exhibited widely across Australia, won the prestigious Bentley Acquisitive Art Prize, and co-directed artist-run galleries and creative spaces with Malcolm King in regional New South Wales and Victoria.

Drop in on Discovery Day to explore the studio, view Julie’s stunning paintings of the Wombat Forest, and experience the place where art, landscape and a lifetime of creativity come together.
