Old Police Station Complex

No trip to Trentham is complete without a visit to the Old Trentham Police Station Complex and District story walk. 

An easy stroll from the main street, it is an informative collection of police memorabilia and local history exhibitions. The former timber buildings that once housed the town’s police station and lock up, have been meticulously maintained and provide a peek into the lives of our constabulary and those local larrikins they pursued. 

The Trentham District story is also told through 14 interpretive panels positioned on the site. This installation is a walk through the history of the area, starting from the lives of First Nations people through to modern day. Celebrated in words and pictures are all those people, industries and events that left a lasting impression on Trentham and surrounding district.
