Blackwood Mineral Springs

Nestled beside the Lerderderg River, the Blackwood Mineral Springs are a picturesque place to relax, explore and reconnect with nature. Sample the naturally bubbling mineral waters, wander across the historic footbridge for peaceful creek views, or set off on walking tracks that lead into the beautiful surrounds of Lerderderg National Park. And don’t forget to listen out for the resident kookaburras.

With spacious picnic areas, free barbecues and shady undercover spots, it’s the perfect place to pause and enjoy the bush setting. Two historic springs, connected by the footbridge, have welcomed visitors since the late 1800s, discovered during the gold rush and lovingly cared for today by a dedicated team of local volunteers.
