Unearth the stories of Blackwood

Step back in time with a wander through the historic Blackwood Cemetery. Established during the gold rush of the 1850s, this peaceful site holds fascinating stories of the people who once flocked to the region in search of fortune.

Pick up a self-guided trail card from the rotunda and follow the numbered posts to discover notable graves, local legends and a few intriguing tales from the past — including the remarkable resting place of Isaac Povey atop Deadmans Hill. When you’re done exploring, simply return the card and continue your Spudfest adventure!
